The Town of Snowflake is governed by a council of 6 members and a Mayor, with staggered elections held every 2 years (4 members elected the first two years, the Mayor and 2 members elected the next two years). Each councilmember serves a 4-year term, and there are no term limits.
The Mayor is directly elected in an election held every 4 years and serves as the moderator and presiding officer at Council Meetings.

- Must be a qualified elector of the Town, which is defined as a person who is qualified to register to vote pursuant to § 16-101 and who is properly registered to vote
- Must be a resident of the Town of Snowflake for at least one year preceding the election

Home Rule Option Proposition - 2024 - PASSED

Arguments favoring or opposing the measure must be filed with the Town Clerk, Katie Melser, at kmelser@snowflakeaz.gov not less than 90 days before the election, which is May 1, 2024. Arguments filed for inclusion in the publicity pamphlet must include a sworn statement from the person sponsoring the argument. The names of persons and entities submitting written arguments must be included in the publicity pamphlet. Persons signing the argument must identify themselves by giving their residence address and telephone number, which may not appear in the publicity pamphlet, except that the person’s city or town and state of residence must appear in the pamphlet.
The statute does not specify the language of the sworn statement, but the following is suggested:
I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing information is true and correct and I am the sponsor of this argument advocating or opposing this measure, question, or proposition.
Each argument must be submitted to the clerk in an electronic format. Arguments are limited to 300 words in length.
Any argument that is submitted that does not comply with these requirements may not be included in the pamphlet.

Polling Places
For all elections (Local, State, and National) registered voters may cast their ballot at the LDS Social Hall, located at 78 West Center Street.
- The Primary Election will be held July 30, 2024, with the last day to request an early voting ballot from Navajo County on July 19, 2024 (registration deadline is July 1, 2024).
- The General Election will be held November 5, 2024 with the last day to request an early voting ballot from Navajo County on October 25, 2024 (registration deadline is October 7, 2024). There will be no local Snowflake elections included with the General Election, all ballot issues were decided during the Primary Election.
