Citizen Police Academy

The Snowflake-Taylor Police Department is proud to offer the Citizen Police Academy!  This is a free program designed to give the citizens of both Snowflake and Taylor an opportunity to get an inside look at their police department and law enforcement operations.  This 20 hour course will provide our communities with a better understanding of their police departments operations and resources.  Participants will interact with police executives, officers as well as our civilian employee’s.  Our goal is to provide a greater awareness and understanding of law enforcement’s role within our communities.

Eligibility Requirements

Potential participants for the Citizen’s Academy must meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age 
  2. No prior felony arrests
  3. No misdemeanor arrests within the previous 5 years
  4. Each candidate will have a background check conducted by the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department

The Snowflake-Taylor Police Department reserves the right to deny applications and acceptance to any applicant.

When and Where:

Weeks 1-7 will be held online (Thursday evenings)
Week 8 will be held at the Northern Arizona Training Center located at 1840 W Paper Mill Rd. Taylor, AZ.

Every Thursday evening (Date to be determined later)

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Registration is currently OPEN. You can find the application on the Police Departments website, at Snowflake and Taylor Town Halls as well as the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department.
